New York-based audio brand Master & Dynamic has collaborated with business partner and basketball player Kevin Durant to create a new collection of custom audio products
Inspiration was provided by the sneaker design of the Nike Zoom KD13, which take up the intimate connection between basketball and music. Thus, the “Nike KD13 x Master Dynamic” products are to combine the expertise of both brands: performance, technology and craftsmanship. It is already the second collaboration of Master & Dynamic and the Nike KD13 (we reported), but the first to be available on the market.

So, to coincide with Kevin Durant’s return to the court with the Brooklyn Nets in our hometown, we’re thrilled to have created an expanded limited edition of bold earbuds and headphones inspired by the design of the Nike KD13, taking the intersection of basketball and music to a new level. The limited products include five color variants of the MH40 Wireless Headphones (for review) as well as five different variants of the MW07 Plus True Wireless Earphones (for review). The MH40 Wireless Headphones feature Bluetooth 5.0 and are made of high-quality materials such as aluminum, lambskin and coated linen fabric. The MW07 Plus True Wireless Earphones are made of handcrafted acetate and housed in a stainless steel charging case that provides a total of 40 hours of playback time.
Each of the five signature colorways is inspired by a different pair of Nike KD13 sneakers, and each represents a different aspect of Kevin Durant’s musical tastes. The psychedelic-inspired “Easy Money Snipers” pattern, the reggae “Sly Servants” design and the grunge-inspired “Slim Reaper Experience” colorway, are said to reflect the genres most often played by the NBA superstar. The high-energy “Hype” design and diffused “Chill” pattern are meant to represent the playlists Kevin uses to get pumped up before heading out on the court and unwind after a busy season.
