Razer announces Hammerhead True Wireless Pro Earbuds with THX certification and noise isolation
By Editor 3 months ago
Razer’s new THX-certified wireless earbuds with Advanced Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation are said to offer low-latency audio and custom fits for immersive sound and that crucial gaming edge.
As with the Razer Hammerhead True Wireless (review), the Pro model features convenient touch controls and voice assistant compatibility, optimized low-latency Bluetooth connectivity, and extended battery life with the included charging case. A comfortable, secure fit with improved noise isolation is said to be provided by the in-ear design and the use of high-quality memory foam Comply ear tips. The Hammerhead True Wireless Pro Earbuds are also IPX4 certified for sweat and splash protection.
“The Hammerhead True Wireless Pro Earbuds are the perfect mobile accessory for everyday and mobile gamers who value high-quality audio and a customizable fit,” said John Moore, Head of Sales & Marketing, Growth Peripherals at Razer. “Users enjoy a perfect fit, premium audio quality and uninterrupted low-latency sound for movies, music, gaming, and voice and video calls – all in a compact format that fits in any pocket.”
Advanced hybrid Active Noise Cancellation for undisturbed listening pleasure.
The Hammerhead True Wireless Pro use hybrid ANC to eliminate both external and unwanted internal noise by simultaneously generating opposing sound waves. This is complemented by improved passive noise isolation. Two integrated external (feed-forward) and two integrated internal (feedback) microphones ensure sound is transmitted with crystal-clear quality.
THX Certified Audio
To meet the stringent requirements for THX certification, fine details such as frequency range and response are evaluated, and the unit must be able to reproduce clear, detailed vocals and deep, powerful bass without distortion at high volumes. The certification process also requires a high level of sound isolation, which the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro meet with their in-ear design for a tighter fit. Customized comfort as well as acoustic options are provided by black Comply premium foam ear tips and one of six sets of silicone ear tips in various sizes and materials.
“The Hammerhead True Wireless Pro Earbuds, along with the Razer Opus headphones, have earned the gold seal of THX certification,” said Peter Vasay, director of THX certification, THX Ltd. “We evaluate and optimize the headphones to ensure a high-quality sound experience that delivers rich, harmonious audio, clear voices and deep, impactful bass – perfect for music, gaming and movies.”
Wireless sound with low latency
The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro earbuds aim to deliver a wide soundstage for smartphone gaming, movies, and music with their 10mm drivers and 20-20kHz frequency response. With touch-activated gaming mode, the optimized Bluetooth connection reduces latency during gaming to just 60 ms, so users can experience more than 50% faster response time as audio and video are transmitted even more synchronously.
Touch-enabled controls and convenient, intuitive use
The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro’s touch-enabled controls allow users to switch between ANC and Quick-Attention mode, control their music and calls, and activate their smartphone’s voice assistant with just a few touches. Quick Attention mode uses the microphones to allow outside noise, which is useful for impromptu conversation. A mobile app for iOS and Android devices provides access to audio equalizer settings, touch gesture remapping, a unique fit test, and more.
The Hammerhead True Wireless Pro Earbuds achieve up to 20 hours of battery life, with four hours of operation after charging the earbuds and up to four recharge cycles with the included USB-C case – perfect for storing and charging when you’re not using your Hammerhead True Wireless Pro Earbuds. To wear the new wireless earbuds in style, a protective Razer THS TPU case with carabiner clip is available from Razer.
