Audeze Euclid: world’s first closed in-ear headphones with planar driver technology

By editor 3 weeks ago

With the new in-ear headphones Euclid, Audeze wants to prove that high-end sound can also be realized in the smallest format.

The closed headphone is said to feature Audeze’s sonically powerful planar driver technology, which has always delighted discerning hi-fi gourmets thanks to a host of proprietary patents such as Uniforce conductor paths, Fluxor magnets and Fazor waveguides.

Interchangeable earpieces and cables as well as a closed aluminum housing in matte black should make the Euclid a real Audeze highlight, exuding timeless elegance and making audiophile sound available everywhere.

High-end closed sound from Audeze: Euclid
Euclid is the first completely closed in-ear headphone from Audeze. The 18-millimeter planar drivers specially developed for this design and an ergonomically designed, milled aluminum housing are intended to make the Euclid an exceptional earphone, and not just in Audeze’s portfolio. It aims to inspire with the combination of timeless elegance and superior sound quality that has already made Audeze’s high-end headphones famous. Like its Greek namesake, the Euclid also wants to convince with numbers: it delivers a maximum sound pressure of 120 dB with a distortion factor of less than 0.1% and the highest frequency and phase fidelity. With its equally elegant and robust form, it should also demonstrate qualities beyond its measured values. Thus, it provides a sound experience that effortlessly satisfies even the most demanding music lovers – portable anywhere in the world.

Planar technology in miniaturized perfection
Audeze stands for planar headphones of the highest quality, which have long since found their place in countless mixing and mastering studios. The manufacturer wants to apply the same standard to its Euclid earphones. The 18-millimeter planar drivers are supposed to have all the groundbreaking patents such as Uniforce conductor paths, Fluxor magnets and Fazor waveguides, which already make the now legendary LCD headphones from Audeze (to the test overview) unique. Thus, the Euclid is also said to shine with incorruptible phase fidelity with a completely linear frequency response and offer the highest sound pressure of all closed in-ear headphones of its size. Together with the sensitivity of 110 dB/mW, this is said to provide a dynamic range that far exceeds other products in this category. Thus, despite its compact format, the Euclid In-Ear also offers the very big sound of Audeze’s reference headphones.

Timeless elegance through noble aluminum housing
The aluminum housing of the Audeze Euclid, milled from a single piece, with its elegant matte black finish not only wants to radiate noblesse, but also ensure maximum wearing comfort even over long periods of time. The shape, which has been specially developed in numerous test series, is intended to ensure high ergonomics with a pleasingly low weight and the best acoustic properties. This combination of chic design and cultivated practicality makes Euclid a sonorous gem for every day.

MMCX cable connection for great sound with maximum flexibility.
The closed design is not said to be the only new territory the Euclid enters in the Audeze in-ear catalog: the cables of the Audeze Euclid are connected to the earpiece via reliable MMCX connectors, which is said to ensure maximum stability with low weight. In addition, the cables can be easily exchanged, so that every audiophile connoisseur can customize their reference sound with a high-end cable of their choice. A Bluetooth adapter and a balanced connection option are also said to be available. The gold coating of the Euclid’s MMCX plugs should always guarantee the best contact properties and durability – for audiophile results, no matter what the application.

Perfect fit thanks to variable eartips
Thanks to its interchangeable earpieces, Audeze’s Euclid is said to adapt perfectly to any ear shape. Silicone and Comply Foam eartips as well as SpinFit eartips are included in the scope of delivery. This gives every user the opportunity to configure their very own personal high-end earpiece.

Price and availability
The Audeze Euclid is distributed in Germany and Austria exclusively by cma audio and is available immediately from selected retailers and the online store cma.audio. The recommended retail price is EUR 1,499.00 including VAT.
