Turtle Beach has unveiled the Stealth 700 Gen 2 and Stealth 600 Gen 2, the next generation of its best-selling wireless gaming headsets for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Successors to the well-known manufacturer’s Stealth 700 and Stealth 600 headsets, the Gen 2 versions aim to take the previous best-sellers to a new level.
Both models are said to offer an evolved, high-quality and elegant look, powerful gaming sound, clear chat thanks to a larger, high-sensitivity flip-to-mute microphone that fits perfectly into the ear cup, and exemplary wearing comfort – all for the same suggested retail prices of EUR 149.99 and EUR 99.99, respectively.
[UPDATE!] Turtle Beach’s new Stealth 600 Gen 2 wireless gaming headset for PS4 and PS5 is available now at participating retailers and at www.turtlebeach.com, with the Stealth 700 Gen 2 headsets to follow in early October.
Stealth 700 Gen 2
The all-new Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 is said to offer a variety of upgrades, including improved performance, comfort and design. The Stealth 700 Gen 2’s gaming-focused audio is also said to have been optimized and refined to deliver even more detailed and accurate sound, in keeping with the Turtle Beach slogan: “Hear everything, defeat everyone.” A larger, high-sensitivity flip-to-mute microphone aims to improve chat clarity and disappears almost invisibly into the headset cup when muted. New Aerofit memory foam ear cushions with cooling gel ingredients surround improved 50mm Nanoclear speakers, and a redesigned metal-reinforced headband adds durability and comfort. Battery life is said to have been significantly extended and is now 20 hours. Gamers can use Bluetooth to connect to the brand new Turtle Beach Audio Hub app to easily customize their audio features and program the headset’s wheel and preset button as well as listen to music or take cell phone calls simultaneously while gaming. Xbox fans can take advantage of Xbox Wireless technology as usual, which automatically connects the headset directly to the console, while the included USB transmitter enables wireless gaming and chatting on PS4 and PS5.
Stealth 600 Gen 2
Upgrades to the Stealth 600 Gen 2 are also said to include carefully refined surround sound, as well as a larger, high-sensitivity flip-to-mute microphone that is said to provide improved chat clarity and now blends perfectly with the headset when muted. The Stealth 600 Gen 2’s headband and suspension are said to have been reinforced for increased durability, and soft, glasses-friendly ear cushions are said to provide plush comfort, while improved 50mm speakers promise high-quality, intense gaming sound. An audio preset button on the headset allows for easy audio customization, and Turtle Beach’s exclusive Superhuman Hearing is also still available to gamers for an audio advantage on the Battlefield. Finally, connectivity on Xbox is as simple as ever using Xbox Wireless technology, allowing gamers to connect to their Xbox with the touch of a button, while on PS4 and PS5, the included USB transmitter allows for wireless gaming and chatting.
